An important message from Ardleigh Surgery
In line with government guidance we have made a few changes to the service at Ardleigh surgery to help protect our patients and staff.
Non urgent and routine follow up appointments may be cancelled or changed to telephone advice. If you already have an appointment booked that needs to be changed, one of the staff from the surgery will contact you.
Routine childhood immunisation clinics and some general nursing appointments will continue to be provided at our Dedham branch, again if you have an appointment booked which needs to be changed or cancelled we will contact you.
Repeat prescriptions will be issued in the normal way.
We have postponed the closure of our prescription telephone line until after this difficult time has passed. The prescription ordering line will be open from 10am to 1pm Monday to Friday, you can also request your prescription via our online service. If you haven’t yet signed up for this service please speak to a member of the reception team.
Your medication will be dispensed from the surgery in the normal way, however as the team are under considerable pressure with a huge increase in demand we request that you allow 5 working days for your medication to be prepared before collection. Please do not worry we have enough stock to supply everyone in the normal way.
If you do attend the surgery you will be asked a few short questions and have your temperature checked before entering the building. This is to protect other patients and staff and we hope you will bear with us if you have to wait for a few moments before being allowed in, I’m sure you will understand our reasons for this process.
If you think you may have coronavirus symptoms, a new and continuous dry cough and or a fever please DO NOT come to the surgery. Please follow advice on the NHS website. If your symptoms worsen or you are concerned please call 111 or go to the 111 online service
